Our barn no longer has a second floor. Gone forever is the pole that held up the ceiling, upon which my children learned how to do things on a pole no parent should see their own babies do. Pretty cool to watch it start to come down. The barn is being torn down by hand to minimize the risk of damage to our neighbors' property. The barn will be down by Wednesday, when the machines come in to take down the house. Then next week they'll pull up the floor, again, by hand to minimize the risk of damage to the foundation. We're all sorry to see the cherry tree go this week, but we'll make it a family thing to pick out and plant a new tree once we move in.
